Jesus said this in John 14:6
What does this scripture mean to you?
To many they would say it means that Jesus is the only way to the Father, which is true. There is no other way to come to God the Father. It must be through JESUS CHRIST. Many would say that it means just what it says, he's the way the truth and the life. Which is all true. But for many it's just words. But what I want to zero in on is that Jesus said "I am the WAY"
Many Christians have come to Jesus (actually we don't come to him but he calls us) and have been born again. And this is true because he is the way. But what happens is most Christians come to Jesus, he is the way, and then after they get saved they are off on some other tangent. Of course all in the way of serving JESUS. They seek after bigger and deeper things in Christianity. This is exactly where we go wrong. There is nothing bigger or better or any experience greater than knowing him. Apostle Paul said that I may know him. This was after Paul was 15 years of living in Christ. And we get saved and then want to move onto deeper things.
You know this is a road we have to take sometimes and God will let us go our way. But we will all come back to him. Because Col says we are complete in him. What does that mean to you? Complete! It means finished, complete done. We are done, complete in him. All the fullness of the God head dwells in him and he in us. We are in Christ and Christ is in the Father and we are one in him. There is no other way. Sure like I said you can run around trying every new experience dejour coming down the pike. But you will not be totally fulfilled until you come back to him because he is the WAY! Instead of trying every new Spiritual experience try doing what Jesus said: Learn of me for I am meek and humble and you will find rest for your souls. That's where we should start. Learning of him. Col 2:3 says "In him are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge! They are hid in Him, in Christ. Your not going to get this Wisdom and Knowledge seeking after other things even thought they have the Christianity label on it. But in HIM!! He is the WAY!! Come back to HIM!! Come back to your First LOVE!
Jesus said "I am the TRUTH"
We learn many truths of the bible and we study them sometimes till we are blue in the face. But there is one TRUTH and that is JESUS. Sure there are "truths" but he is the "TRUTH" We can study the second coming and have it all down and then next year have a different opinion on it. But when we study and learn of him then and only then do we find the TRUTH. There is nothing wrong with studying scripture I study almost everyday. But remember knowledge puffs up but Love edifies. There is a balance and the balance is LOVE in the TRUTH. So yes study but why not also study the truth of TRUTHS, Jesus. Again he said "Mat 11:29 "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Jesus said "I am the LIFE"
Again we can try everything out there that the Christian world has to offer. But you will never have LIFE unto we come to JESUS and learn of him. And I 'm not talking about being Born Again, I'm talking to Born Again believers. Jesus said in John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal LIFE: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have LIFE." So it's coming to JESUS to get saved and also coming to him to continue to have LIFE in him. He said he is the Bread of LIFE! He said in John 6:53 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood ye have no LIFE in you." This is just what I'm saying. Unless you eat him get him totally inside get consumed with Jesus you will have no LIFE in you. He is the LIFE! Like the fathers did eat manna in the wilderness. God fed the Israelites every day from heaven when they were in the wilderness. But the key is they had to get new manna everyday. Just like us we need to come to Jesus everyday and eat his flesh and drink his blood. I'm not talking about communion. I'm talking about getting consumed with Jesus. Everyday we need to come to him and get fed and we will have LIFE.
We need new manna everyday. We can't live on yesterday's manna. When I first started to walk IN CHRIST, I'm not talking about when I got born again, but years after when I started to eat the meat of the God. Coming to him and getting fed directly from him. Well when I started to live my Christianity in HIM. In the beginning God would speak to my heart and it use to blow me away. Then days and weeks later I would think about the experience that God gave me and I would feed off that. But as I matured IN HIM. I realized that that was old manna and now God has brought me to the point where he speaks to my heart almost daily and I get many revelations of God's divine nature. But I let them go and move on to the next. Paul's said I would rather talk about my infirmities. I use to tell my friends, wow God really spoke to me this time and God spoke to me here and there. I came to the point that it seemed like I was glorying in my revelations. So now as I grow in the GRACE and Knowledge of JESUS CHRIST, and God Constantly speaks to my heart but I don't tell any of my friends now and glory in them. It's just between God and myself. And it's beautiful how God will speak to our hearts when we are open to him and let him be our LIFE and we come to him and learn of him and worship him and be still and know he is God!
So I would like to end this the way I started it Jesus said
