Come Before His Throne!

Finding Grace and Mercy in time of need!

There are many times in our lives when we need the Grace and Mercy of God to help us in times of need, but it seems so far away sometimes. God has made it clear for us that it is not far away that it is right here for us if we would just see with hearts and come boldly to his throne.

In Hebrews 4:16 we read: "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Why can we come boldly to the throne of Grace? Is it because we have done good for the Lord today? Some would lead you to believe that. We do good things for God so we come before his throne and we feel justified. What this attitude or way of thinking does is that when we do good we feel worthy to come before his throne. So in turn then when we are not doing so good we don’t come to his throne because we don’t feel worthy. It’s self righteousness. It’s what following the law produces.. If you feel unworthy you would say, "I’m not self-righteous I feel unrighteous". Actuality then you are still self righteousness..because you think now you just have to do the right thing then you’ll feel worthy. This is such a dangerous way of walking your walk with the LORD! There is a better way.

Of course neither one is the case with our Loving Savior. We come before his throne because of what Jesus did on Calvary and has nothing to do with what we did. In Heb 4:14 "Seeing then that w have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. Verse 15 "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet with out sin......(verse 16) Let us THEREFORE come boldly, why because of what Jesus did. We have a high priest that paid for our sins and has passed into the heavens. He was tempted like you and me but did not sin!! Because of that we can come unto his throne.

So now we come Boldly before his throne. (not because of what we did or do but because of what he did) When we practice this coming boldly to the throne of grace and when we have a time of need we will find mercy and grace to help!! So if we don’t come boldly to the throne of grace then the opposite will apply, when the time of need arises we won’t find his grace or mercy to help. You see it’s so simple. Just practice your priesthood and come before his throne and minister unto him and when the time of need comes you will not be sinking in sand but you will walk through the valley of the shadow of death and you will fear no evil. Why? Because when you come boldly before his throne and you wait on him he will renew your strength and build you up and you will find mercy and grace in time of need!!!!

It’s not works but it’s resting in what he has done. Heb says in 4:10 "For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his." Have you ceased from your own works? Are you still working? Heb 4: 11 says "Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest...." Let us labour to enter into his rest. It sounds like a contradiction. Labour to enter rest??? The labour is not trying to work but to cease working, that’s the labour.... It’s the labour of trying to stop your work. 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works.......

So my brother and sisters practice your priesthood and come boldly before his throne of Grace so you can obtain mercy and find grace in our time of need. Now we offer up our sacrifices of praise. No more lambs like the old priesthood did, but we offer up spiritual sacrifices. Remember he is our high priest. He was the Lamb of God. Now we have become priest unto him offering again, spiritual sacrifices. As we minister unto him it builds us up!!

I pray you have eyes to see and hearts to receive this word!!!
