Living Through Him

Today I was listening to the New Testament Bible on tape and as I was listening and this verse came out and stuck with me 1st John 4:9 "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world that we might live through him."  That we might live through him.  My question to you today is are you living through HIM!  Are you living this Christian life on your own steam or are you living through HIM?  Many Christians are living this life on their own steam not LIVING THROUGH HIM!  It says "that we MIGHT live through him"  not all live through Christ Experientially that is, yes we are all living through Christ based on what the scripture says but most do not live day by day THROUGH HIM experientially!  

What do you think the bible is saying when we live through him?  Exactly that THROUGH HIM, let Christ be your everything.  One way to measure yourself to see if your living through him is, are you feeling condemnation?   Are you feeling Guilty? Are you feeling like God is looking on you like your no good?  Or are you trying to figure out why this has happened and that has happened in your life?  Are you trying to read God's mind?  If we are living in this mentality that we are not living THROUGH HIM. 

I'm not saying that you will never have these kind of feelings however what I am saying that when we are living through him we are living habitually in him we are dependent completely on him.  You know that he loves you no matter what.  You know that you are righteous no matter what you do like it says in 1 Cor 1:30.  You know that it's him that causes the fruit in your life. Phil 1:11 "Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ..."   You know that by the flesh no man can please God. You know that in him we live and move and have our being.  You know that when we stay connected to the vine we will produce much fruit.  Because without him we can do nothing like it says in John 15.

When we can KNOW this EXPERIENTIALLY in our hearts when we KNOW the Love in which God Loves us, then and only then can we start to live THROUGH HIM!  Until then everytime we fall short we will feel condemned.  Rom 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit."  If we are feeling Condemnation that most likely we are not living through him. This is a spiritual walk which we are walking.  When we choose to put on Christ we are walking in the Spirit and the bible says that without no man can please God.  As we know by the flesh no man can please God.  So let's not try to be a good Christian.   Let's just learn to LIVE THROUGH HIM!  Let's let Christ be our life. 

Day in and day out we should be communicating with God the Father and JESUS.  When you fall short just talk to him.   When your not falling short just talk to him.  When your in the grocery line just talk to him.  Seek the LORD first in all that you do. Pray without ceasing.   Lean not on your own understanding.  Prov 3:5 "trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding acknowledge the Lord in all your ways and he will direct your path."  That is one powerful verse.  When I first got saved I read that verse and it just hit me big time.  HE will direct my path!! Wow that really hit me.   Try not to figure it out yourself.  Lean not on your own understanding.   This is living THROUGH HIM! 

So my brother and sisters please talk with our heavenly Father every moment of the day that you get a chance.  The more we communicate with him the more our faith grows.   Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.  We can hear him speak to us and that builds faith.   Reading the word builds faith!  Praying builds faith.  So let's grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and learn to live this Christian life THROUGH HIM!!!
